The 4 C's


The shape of a diamond is determined by how it was cut and faceted. The better the cut and faceting, the more brilliance and sparkle allowing light performance based on the symmetry, proportions, and overall polish.


Blemishes are small imperfections when assessing a diamond, known as inclusions. The internal characteristic of every diamond is unique and made underground through enormous heat and pressure.

Natural inclusions are expected and have a scale from Flawless (none) to I 1, I 2, I 3 (Included) which can be seen by the naked eye. Many grades in- between will determine how clean your diamond is and will also be determined in pricing and quality.


The absence of color is an important characteristic to consider in choosing the perfect diamond. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) color scale is the guide for grading diamonds. The range is from D (Colorless) to Z (Yellow Colored)

Carat (Size)

Many people think carat weight means the size of a diamond however it is a measure of weight. A diamond carat weight is divided into 100 points, where 100 points equal 1 carat
